Day 49

Numbers 31-33

This passage describes the first decisions regarding going into the Promised Land. A couple of the tribes decide to stay on the east side of the Jordan river. While this seems benign, it is the beginning of decisions made by the people to step away from the promises of God toward their own decisions. What seemed good to them actually was not the best? I wonder how many of us choose places in our lives that seem to be good but actually are just short of God’s best. Trust Him today and let Him guide your every step.
