II Samuel 21-24
The ending of II Samuel describes the ending of David’s fighting career and the end of his life. I absolutely love the very ending of this book. David is going to build and alter at the place where the death angel stopped. When he gets to the place to purchase the threshing floor, the man decides to give it to him. David refuses and says the most amazing words “I will not sacrifice to the Lord something that costs me nothing.” His heart while straying at times always knew where the real source of power and wonder came from, the Lord! Where does your strength come from? What sacrifices are you giving to God?
