I Chronicles 28-29
David ends his life in an incredible salute to the power of God. You also see the loyalty of the people of Israel to David. This is a far cry from what happened whenever Saul died and David took over. David may have had problems in his life with a couple of great sins (with Bathsheba, the census), but he ends his life on a high note. Taking a New Testament phrase, he finished the race and fought the good fight. Are you going to finish well? Finish your job well, your family well, your life well? Remember that you start the job of finishing with the building blocks of everyday life.
