II Chronicles 21-25
It seems the legacy that Jehoshaphat left did not last long. His sons and grandsons began to live their lives and lead the nation of Judah into falling away from the statutes of God. The saddest one of these kings was Joash. His family had been killed and he had been saved, and at the age of 6 he was to lead the nation. While the priest who raised him was alive he did well, but as soon as the priest died the king lost his way. Have you ever had a mentor in your life? Are they now not a part of your life? Did you lose your way for a while? You can find your way again by seeking God with all your heart.
