We will be remiss if we did not talk about Isaiah chapter 6. Some of the more famous words from the book of Isaiah come out of this chapter. “In the year King Uzziah died…” and “Here am I Lord send me…” When you read these statements in context you understand that these were desperate times where the people were struggling to serve God and were actually turning toward Pagan ritual and Pagan gods. Isaiah was in a position of knowing God and needing to take God’s message to the people. We are in the same situation. Our country seems to be turning more secular and we have been charged with the responsibility to go. We have a lot to identify with Isaiah except we know the person that he foretells about in chapter 7, Jesus!
