In chapter 11, God shows the incredible passion and love he has for his people. He is a loving father who desires for his children to worship him and adore him. He desires the best for them. He says here in this chapter that it grieves him and it saddens him to lay out his discipline upon the people. He knows however that through their punishment they will return to him and serve him. God desires to be in your life. He will not force himself upon you but with a gentle hand he will remind you of who he is and what he desires in your life. Sometimes he disciplines us and this is difficult to understand or even to comprehend, but his ultimate goal is to have us return to him and worship him.
