Mark moves so rapidly that at times you want to slow down and savor what Jesus is teaching. The disciples learn in these chapters that they can argue all they want about who is important, it is up to God to determine who will be important in eternity. Our American attitude often leads us to trying to be the greatest. I wonder how many of the greatest will actually be the least and how many of the least will actually be the greatest. God’s system is vastly different then ours. He recognizes everything you do for His name. Try today to do the things God has asked you to do based upon pleasing Him and not the people around you.
