II Corinthians 6-9
Paul takes this letter and makes it very personal in these 3 chapters. He challenges the Corinthian believers to give of their time, effort, and money. He holds up the example of the Macedonian believers who although they are poor have generously given out of their joy found in Christ. Here is the secret to giving time, effort, or money to God and to the church, do it out of the abundance of joy found in Christ. If you give out of a begrudging heart then your giving will leave a bad taste in your mouth. This is why so many church attenders don’t like talking about money cause it tastes bad to them to give. If you give with a cheerful heart then you will see the blessings of God come into your life.
