In 2013, Anticipate Trust
2012 was a big year for my family and I. We made a big change in ministry and moved to an entirely new town and state. God moved us from DeLand, Florida where I had been a youth pastor for 9 years to Alpharetta, Georgia where I am the Pastor of Reaching for Alpharetta First Baptist Church. We moved at the end of May last year and it has certainly been an adjustment. We feel that God moved us here to this Church specifically.
Now in 2013 we wait in ANTICIPATION for what God has in store. I am planning on being on mission trips in Africa 3 times this year, in New York City, possibly in India, and many local places around the city and state. I also plan to travel to the Southern Baptist Convention in June in Houston, Texas and also the Send North America conference in July in Dallas, Texas. I know that God has a lot to teach me this year and I ANTICIPATE great things to happen this year.
This year we will welcome a new senior pastor to our church. This will be a challenging time of transition and new vision. I ANTICIPATE God doing some great things in this church as he already has.
I ANTICIPATE my family continuing to grow stronger in the Lord. I also ANTICIPATE completing some triathlons this year and continuing my quest to complete a full Ironman.
I say the word ANTICIPATE because the bible clearly states in James 4:13-14 we do not know what all the Lord has planned for us. The most important thing that I ANTICIPATE in this new year is trusting God no matter what happens.
